Bean About Town, located on Waialae Avenue in Honolulu, has quickly become a beloved coffee shop for both locals and visitors. Customers rave about the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, making it an exceptional spot for studying or unwinding. Carlee Bleeker notes its "great staff" and "excellent atmosphere," while others highlight the in-house roasting, ensuring quality in each cup.
The intimate seating arrangement offers a charming experience, though some reviews mention it can get noisy, especially when bustling. As K. CHAE asserts, it's worth it for “the best coffee in all of Oahu.” Their house blend and signature lattes receive high praise, with several patrons like Alexis Mayeda emphasizing the freshness of their drinks.
Alongside the coffee, the pastries, like the cream cheese bagel mentioned by april panganiban, also attract positive feedback for their quality and tastiness. Despite its modest size and location slightly off the beaten path, Bean About Town proves to be a hidden gem worth exploring, offering a delightful coffee experience that has a way of making you want to return.

One of my favorite study spots. Great staff, excellent atmosphere, and plenty of seating. I always try something new, and all have been delicious!

What a great little cafe (when they’re not busy). The seating is small and you’re not really sheltered from the noisy Waialae road, but if you have the place to yourself it’s a really good place to enjoy their quality coffee drinks and pastries. I’m happy they’re my closest cafe but I wish I could hangout longer somehow. Did you know they roast their coffee in-house? Recommend

I am new to this place, my husband just brought me here to wait while he is at work (he is working around the area). I must say that the venue is cozy, the barista’s are nice, and the coffee is so good. I have only tried the cream cheese bagel, which is filling, so I can’t really comment anything about the other food in their menu. And since it is inside DFS Waikiki, I get to walk around when I get bored. So all in all, the experience is great and probably would come back.

Honolulu has some famous cafes around, and I tried many of them. While many of them were pretty good, this was where I had my best coffee in all of Oahu. It's located a little out of popular zone but it makes the place all the better. It's where mostly locals come to get their coffee. Small but charming, their designs and interiors are very nice. But of course what matters the most is the coffee. I really loved their house blend, and latte was best in town as well. We came back again to get coffee here again on our last day on the island. If you know your coffee and serious about it, I'd definitely recommend you to pay a visit here. Oh and the employees here were super kind as well. All my love to them.

The place is so cute! Small seating but the coffee is so worth it. There is customer parking nearby. I got a small cortado and it was so fresh. The workers are the sweetest and helped me to find the right coffee for me!

Stylish place with high quality speciality coffee. I appreciated that it was close to the main drag of Waikiki but still quiet and away from the crowds. I had a piccolo, which came served in a beautiful handmade ceramic mug, and I bought some beans for home. Would come here often if I lived nearby!

This place has the best coffee in America, and I’m a coffee snob. I’ve been to every coffee shop in the states. I’ve been coming to Bean About Town for a few years now and they who make their own sauces for my Bourbon, Butterscotch latte. It’s unreal and the attention to detail is perfection. I think the owner is from London. Coffee in Europe is just better, simple as that.

This is a pretty amazing place. Baristas are super nice and always make me happy. Especially, I'd like to say thanks to Mitsuko and Manao. I recommend you try the Cold brew with Orange bourbon syrup, Banana bread and Caprese sandwich.
